Nous avons voulu développer une approche pragmatique de la spectroscopie Infra Rouge. Notre objectif est de rendre l'étudiant capable d'interpréter un spectre IR pour trouver les principales fonctions chimiques d'un composé organique simple. Ce module comporte cinq chapitres : Les spectroscopies Infra Rouge;Les vibrations moléculaires;Les vibrations d'élongation;Les fonctions;Methodes d'interprétation. Les exercices portent sur les fonctions et sur l'interpratation des spectres, reconnaissance de fonctions, utilisation des données de la formule brute du composé et de son spectre infra-rouge, choix entre isomères. Plus de 150 spectres IR sont offerts à l'étude. L'auto-évaluation comporte trois épreuves, chacune d'entre-elles comportant 10 exercices tirés au hasard parmi la collection des exercices précédents.
