Les enjeux du développement durable et la mutation initiée par le Grenelle de l’environnement nécessitent de refondre les modes de conception des bâtiments et de l’aménagement des espaces urbains par une interaction plus étroite des acteurs : collectivités, maîtres d’ouvrage, maîtres d’œuvre, entreprises et usagers. La maquette numérique facilite cette interaction. Couplée à des capacités de simulation des phénomènes physiques, elle permet en outre d’aborder les aspects du développement durable dans leur globalité.
