Il se compose pour cela de deux parties principales, respectivement intitulées :
Anticléricalisme et picaresque dans le Lazarillo de Tormes
La rhétorique épistolaire dans le De conscribendis epistolis de Juan Luis Vives (1536)
La première partie sur l'anticléricalisme et le picaresque porte plus particulièrement sur les manifestations de l'anticléricalisme en Espagne, l'anticléricalisme en Espagne à l'époque de Charles Quint et l'anticléricalisme dans le Lazarillo de Tormes.
