Quatre thèmes sont abordés :
- Qu'est-ce que l'apiculture ? ;
- Les abeilles, championnes de la pollinisation ;
- La transhumance ;
- La surmortalité des abeilles.
Résumé :
Traditionnellement, les zones agricoles étaient en polyculture, ce qui entrainait la diversité des paysages favorables à la production de miel pour l'apiculteur. Ces paysages traditionnels étaient le bocage et les haies, les prairies permanentes et les pelouses, les bosquets... Aujourd'hui, on assiste en revanche à une uniformisation du paysage, provoquant une diminution, à la fois spatiale et temporelle, de la ressource mellifère. En nous appuyant sur les exemples du Gers et du Var, comme terrains d'investigation, le film se propose d'analyser les différentes situations auxquelles sont confrontés les apiculteurs.
