Description (résumé)
This video is part of a series of 19 videos for technical gestures in chemistry (with French subtitles). In this video, electronic scales are presented: the classic scale and the high precision scale. Electronic scales must be handled with great care and must always be kept clean. The electronic balance is used to accurately weigh the mass of a solid or non-flammable liquid used in a chemical reaction. The so-called classic balance, with an accuracy of the order of a tenth or even sometimes a hundredth of a gram, will be used for weighing several grams or quantities that do not require great precision. The high-precision balance will be used mainly for weighing justifying a higher precision ranging from tenths to thousandths of a gram, and for smaller quantities.
